Short Bio:

Dr. Lee joined the University of Connecticut as an Assistant Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2014. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (2005), and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin (2007 and 2010, respectively). Following his Ph.D. he joined the Institute for Solider Nanotechnologies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a postdoc. His research focuses on computational heat transfer studies of manufacturing processes and characterization of polymer nanocomposite and nanofibers used for ablative and high strength applications.

He currently teaches Orientation to Engineering and Foundations of Engineering, freshman introductory engineering courses. Professor Lee is passionate about teaching in the classroom and supervising undergraduates on research projects.
