Short Bio:

Dr. Reza Sheikhi joined the Mechanical Engineering Department in 2018. He received his Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh, State University of New York at Buffalo and Sharif University of Technology, Iran, respectively. Dr. Sheikhi has several years of industrial experience and has previously been an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University. His general areas of expertise are computational fluid dynamics, turbulence, combustion and high performance computing. His current research interest includes modeling and simulation of multiphysics turbulent flows. Dr. Sheikhi has received several recognitions for his teaching, including the Students Speak Outstanding Teachers of the College of Engineering at Northeastern University. He is a Fellow of ASME, an Associate Fellow of AIAA and members of APS, ASEE and the Combustion Institute. He is currently serving an Associate Editor of the ASME Journal of Energy Resources Technology.
